Show GETS IN MIX-UP OVER WATER USE FINED BY JUDGE FOR WRESTLING BY DAMSITE Reuben Jones, who resides on the flats project south of Milford, was brought in before Judge Bert Nichols' court Tuesday to answer to charges of assult and the unlawful use of water wa-ter from the reservoir at Rocky Ford. He was' fined ten dollars on the first complaint, and fifteen for the second charge. The latter fine was suspended suspend-ed however, pending Jones' good behavior. be-havior. , ( Jones is alleged to have attempted to withdraw water through the reservoir res-ervoir locks at a time when he was not entitled to do so. When remonstrated remon-strated with by F. B. Robinson, who is in charge of water outlet at the dam, Jones is said to have seized Mr. Robinson violently and to have thrown him down, constituting the offense of assault. Robinson had told him that he was taking water out of his turn. When arrainged before Judge Nichols, he vas told that hereafter, if he should feel discriminated against in the use of water at the dam, he should take the matter up before the law in proper fashion. |
