Through the efforts of their music department, a great singer was persuaded to give a conqert in Milford. This department de-partment .also sponsored several programs made up of locai musicians 'and staged two credible operas. The English department has given a public program each Friday afternoon m which it has asked the various organizations to participate. In so doing, it has furnised the people with good entertainment as well as given tiie organizations an opportunity of displaying their talent and of explaining their work. Finally, the art department has sponsored sponsor-ed an excellent exhibit of prints from the old masters, affording the people of Milford a chance of becoming (acquainted With the great pictures of the world if only in prints. In acting as a cultural center, the high school has filled a genuine need in the community land the student body deserves as much credit las those organizations which have launched commercial com-mercial or charitable movements in the city. |
