Show Holds Own Clean up Week Ted Kronholm, deputy sheriff and city watermaster, is having a little clean up week of his own, without any fuss or publicity but with considerable splash. He is doing his spring cleaning on the city wells. Tuesday he began by pumping out of auxiliary well number 3 the sediment that has collected whil;, it lay idle during the wm- ter. This done, he whitewashed the well pit so that when the new pump and automatic switch have been installed, the wells wiil be ready for heavy summer duty. At the same time he put Eric Sanders and John Wells to work on cleaning and white-washing the pit of well number 1, which has been in action during the winter. The wells see double duty in the summer as the residents of the town 'Ase on an average of 700 gallons of water a minute. In winter the average is not much over 300. |
