Show HIT STRAIGHT FROM THE SHOULDER Whatever may be the qualifications of Mr. Larson, this judicial district lost a chance to elect a very good man when it failed to give Abe Murdock a majority. Wre have heard it expressed by several Republicans, many of whom voted for Mr. Murdock, that Abe was just on the wrong side of the ticket. Abe Murdoc'k made a speech here last week u'pon the subject of prohibition which 4as a corker- In speaking of the difficulty of law enforcement and of getting convictions, convic-tions, Abe possibly hit some of his listeners between the eyes, at least he confessed afterwards that his speech probably prob-ably lost him some votco. As far as Milford was concerned, his fears were almost groundless, for Milford gave Mr. Murdock Mur-dock a good healthy vote and it is our opinion that the rank and file here admired the speech he made. It was non- partisan and exposed a lot of sham. |
