Candidates in the Milford News' big Automobile Prk-.e Campaign have reached the turn, maneuvered themselves them-selves into position for the final go in the big race, and from now on until the finish will be battling for supremacy under whip and spur. With honors thus far about equally divided, leading candidates are preparing pre-paring with feverish haste and intensity in-tensity to make their final stand for -victory before nine o'clock Saturday night, November 10 the close of the "second period" and the awarding of the EXTRA prize of -25.00 in GOLD, and a pair of Cline's best shoes, to the candidate that turns in the most money during the "second period." Topping the half million vote mark, and surging ahead at the rate of several hundred thousand votes at a clip, Mrs. Jeanette Kohler is in the lead for first honors and the prize Whippet Coach, altho the other leading lead-ing contestants are "easing alongside" along-side" with but a few thousand votes behind. Any doubt as to the closeness of the race has been removed. Also it has been proven that there are a bunch of hustlers in Milford and vicinity vicin-ity who do not stand back on formalities, formali-ties, but pitch right into the fray and get what is coming to them. The race so far has been a remarkably close one, so it depends almost entirely upon the results obtained between now and nine o'clock this Saturday night the last of the BIG votes as to who will finish victorious. Nine o'clock this coming Saturday night is the LAST chance to enter subscriptions in this campaign and secure BIG votes on same. Make every hour, yet, every minute count while you may. And after Saturday night all sub-I sub-I scriptions together with the amount I to cover will be deposited in the sealed ballot box, located in the vaults of the Milford State Bank. Several of the candidates have voiced their determination de-termination to win at all hazards, another says she owes her success so far to her friends who have helped her so loyally up to this point.
