Show OBSERVE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMISTICE LEGION HAS GOOD PROGRAM FOR THE MORNING OF 12th Armistice Day will be observed in Milford next Monday, the 12th, the 11th falling on Sunday. A program has been arranged at the high school auditorium at 10:30 a. m. The band will furnish music; the address of the rrtorning will be made by Leonard Bowen; an oratorical contest for high school students will be held, for the, American Legion Auxiliary Oratorical Oratori-cal prize; and there will be other speakers and musical selections. In commemoration of a decade an-: niversary since firing ceased in the : World war, Milford's Main street has been bedecked in holiday attire. Most of the business houses have their, fronts decorated with bunting and. national emblems. j The program for the day is to be j carried out under American Legion , auspices. The day will be brought'to a close by a big dance at the Arion hall. J. M. Hughes, C. R. Parrish, and Clarence Sweet have been busy this week in attempts to schedule a football game and it is probable that there will be a gridiron struggle that afternoon. Practically all of the Milford business busi-ness houses will close from 10:30 to 1:00 to allow employes to attend the program. j |
