Show BEAVER PUTS BAN ON ALCHOLIC TONICS At a recent meeting of the City Council, an ordinance was passed prohibiting the sale of tonics, which contain Tiigh percentages of alcohol. The majority of these tonics are placed on the market simply as a beverage, and it is claimed that, particularly par-ticularly in Beaver, most of the drunkeness may be traced to the excessive ex-cessive use of these tonics. Other cities are making war on alcoholic al-coholic tonics. Salt Lake has recently passed an ordinance prohibiting the sale of such tonics, and officers are enforcing a strict adherence to the law. Beaver merchants who have carried such tonics in stock have already removed re-moved the counterband goods from their shelves, and are willing to assist as-sist in upholding the new ordinance.
