Show A GREAT deal of sob stuff has recently appeared because be-cause of the sentencing of a Michigan woman, alleged to be the mother of ten children, to prison for life because of a fourth felonious violation of law, her husband already being be-ing penally confined. We do not pity the woman in the case so much as we pity the state which has had inflicted upon it ten children from such a home; so much as we pity those children because of their heritage and the environment of their early years. Should the woman be allowed to remain at liberty to bear more children and continue her contemptuous contemptu-ous violation of law? Permanent confinement is merciful to her, just to tho state and above all, essential to the interest in-terest of her children Record, Fark City. 1 |
