Show CHILD DROWNS IN CALIENTE CREEK Tuesday afternoon Clair and Claud ; Ferrari the six year old twins of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Farrari, of Cali-ente Cali-ente were playing near the creek across from the school house, together togeth-er with the two Johnson boys, when Clair slipped ami fi ll into a pool of water five or six feet deep. Tin! boys all stood ai'ound waiting fur him to come to the .surface. They waited for about 15 minutes nnd then hi-came frightened and ran home. Tin' Anderson Ander-son hoys stopped on their way home nnil-told sevcrn lpcoplc about it while U 1 tie Claud ran strnight home and told his father who has been at home sick for the past few days. Mr. Ferrari Ferr-ari immediately rushed to the place where the boy had disappeared. Word of the accident spread quickly nnd search for the body started at once. The water was ice cold, which impeded im-peded the progress of the search and the boy had been under water '15 minutes before he was brought to the surface with a garden rake. He was rushed to the doctor's office where every effort was made to restore him to life, but to no avail. Mrs. Ferrari was prostrated at the news of her son's death. Lester Burt made arrangements for the funeral which will he held Thursday from the Rex Hall at Calient Cali-ent p. Reverend Joseph Johnson will ' 'onddet the funeral services. Record, Pioche, Nev. |
