o SUBSTANCE DISCUSSED IN SERMON SUNDAY The subject of the Lesson-Sermon Sunday, March 13, in all Christian Science Churches is "Substance." Ordinarily Or-dinarily substance is erroneously believed be-lieved to be something visible and material, whereas, Truth, Life, and Love are substance. When belief progresses to faith, and faith advances ad-vances to spiritual understanding it instantly becomes possible to "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils" (Matt. 10:8), as commanded by Christ Jesus. A correlative passage from page 4S7 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker ; Eddy, which was also included in this ; Lesson-Sermon, corroborates and explains ex-plains the Master's admonition. This passage follows: "The apostle James said: 'Show me thy faith without thy j works, and I will show thee my faith i by my works! This faith relies upon! an understood Principle. This Principle Prin-ciple makes whole the diseased, and I brings out the enduring and harmon- ious phases of things. The result of our teachings is their sufficient confirmation."
