Show LIONS TALK SCHOOL IN QUIET MEETING The Lions club meeting, held this weeek at the Union Pacific was more in the nature of a social meeting rather than a business meeting. The peculiarities of local radio re-! re-! ceptionwere recited in detail, with opinions differing. The chairman of the Red Cross Roll Call asked for subscriptions and met with a response that was not worth mentioning. The coming school election called for some discussion but only informally. inform-ally. A few members spoke their views as individuals and tax-payers and from the tone of the remarks one ! judged that as a club they would not i actively support the candidacy of any one man for board member. 'One or two of the Lions strongly urgjed that they visit (the schools more and be the better enabled to know the school needs. o |
