Show RED CROSS DRIVE IS PROGRESSING STILL NEEDS ABOUT FIFTY MEMBERS TO REACHE QUOTA SET The Red Cross Twelfth Annual Roll Call is progressing satisfactorily for the Milford chapter, with workers in the field reporting subscriptions coming in slowly but surely. Mrs. E. L- Ferguson is doing the major portion of the canvassing in Milford and through her efforts, it is believed that the quota of 125 members mem-bers will be reachced. In the country, the work is in the hands of Mrs. F. W. Gospill and Mrs. W. C. Cates. South Milford has always responded nohly in 'efforts of this nature and the volunteer work ers expect to turn in a good number of membership cards. Miss Margaret Bullen, Field director, direc-tor, was in Milford the for part of the week and furthered the plans of the chnpter by addressing the P. T. A-meeting A-meeting on the purpose of the drive. Boy Scouts assisted the local officers of-ficers by distributing literature and posters about the business section of the town. The members of Milford chapter of the American Red Cross will be announced an-nounced in an other issue of this paper as soon as the receipt cards are turned in at the close. The drive begun all over the nation on Armistice Day and closes on Thanksgiving Day. o |
