Show Chickens Lay at Age of Four Months .Mrs. MacShane at Iron Springs had a hatching of Bard Rock chicks March 27, 1930, which contained 6 pullets and 8 cockrels, and 3 of the pullets began laying August 8, just 4 months and 11 days from the time they emerged from the shell. These pullets are well formed, yellow legged, grown on abundance of fresh water, shade and alfalfa range, and fed wheat and bran. A 500 flock of such birds would make any poultryman a good income. in-come. Iron County News. |
