Show j SOCIETY Mrs. Earl F. Stonehocker entertained entertain-ed at her home Thursday afternoon August 14th at a stork shower in hon- i or of Mrs. Owen W. Stoker. The afternoon aft-ernoon was spent in playing cards, after af-ter which dainty refreshments were served. The honored guest received many beautiful gifts. C. H. Club Meets Mrs. Lavern Davis entertained the C. H. club Thursday night at her . home. The time was spent in needle work. A very tasty lunch was served to the following members: Mrs. Maggie Mag-gie Crawford, Mrs. Mary Peterson, Mrs. Maude Robinson, Mrs. Theodoria Hatton, Mrs. Irma Giger, Katie Singleton, Sing-leton, Hattie Root, Elizabeth Clay, Eva Beard and the hostess. C. H. Club The C. H. Club members gave a handkerchief surprise party on Mrs. U" Joe Banks at her home Wednesday afternoon. Those present, Mrs. Wm. Petterson, Mrs. C. R. Crawford, Mrs. Davis, Mjs. Robinson, Mrs. Hollis, Mrs. James Clay, Mrs. W. W. Geiger, Mrs. Bowen, Mrs. Hatton, Mrs. Singleton, Sing-leton, Mrs. Myers, Mrs. C. Beard, Misses Marie and Pauline Banks, and Mrs. Alma Banks of Lynndyl. The afternoon af-ternoon was spent in playing games after which delicious refreshments were served. Ryssmans Given Party The American Legion and Auxiliary entertained in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ryssman Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Webber. Mrs. Webber entertained at dinner in their honor, and later in the evening, the Legion and Auxilary drove out and gave them a very happy hap-py surprise. Very interesting and amusing games were enjoyed, and delicious de-licious refreshments served. At the conclussion of the festivities Mr. -Leonard Bowen presented the guests t f honor with a beautiful gift. His speech was given in a very impressive manner.
