Clements was called to Salmon, Idaho, Monday, by the seri- ous illness of her mother, Mrs. Wm. Price. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Tanner went to Nephi Wednesday to assist at the celebration of the 60th wedding anniversary r.f Mt. Tanner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eb Tanner, Sr. Mlrs. Earl Stonhocker came from Salt Lake Wednesday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Stoker, for a few days. Roy Cottrell spent several days in Cedar City last week looking after the ears of Pj'es. Carl Gray's special excursion. Mrs. Chas. Tullis, of Provo, is the guest this week of Mrs. Harry Yeager. i Mr. and Mrs- Clarence Lewis motored motor-ed to Puffer's Lake last week and caught a fine lot of trout which theyj generously distributed among their, friends. Gene Kirk went to Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday evening, returning the later part of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Nichols drove down from Salt Lake last week to visit their brothers and families here. Bill and Ren Nichols and others ! comprised a fishing party up Beaver canyon which returned Monday night. L. T. Merrill, of Riverside, Cali-was Cali-was here buying cattle this week. E. C. McGanry and R. H. Barton, of Salt Lake, were in Milford two or three days early this week. A. J. M-cMullen, superintendent of the Beaver Copper, is back in this mining district after having been gone for three or four months in Salt Lake and Wyoming. G. B. IoyIe, of Salt Lake, was here in the interests of the Cave Mine. Saturday night several more parties are expected in Milford on business connected with this mine. Dr. Cook, of the Dr. Mellenthin concern, made the. Milford Hotel his headquarters here while on a professional pro-fessional visit this week. Manager Allen and Mrs. Allen, of the Allen Cash Store, and Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Hollingshead formed a party on a fishing trip to Puffer's Lake Sunday. . Mrs. Jennie E. Hunter is spending a few days in Milford, the guest of Mirs. J. M. Kinney. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. Casterline and daughter, Marjorie, returned Monday from an extended vacation trip on the coast. CLTNE'S Jack Ahem, accompanied by his parents and sister, went to Provo last week to enter Brigham Young University for the school year. The family then went on to Salt Lake where Mr. Ahern will enter a hospital hospi-tal for treatment. Mr. Ahern was afflicted by a stroke a few months ago but has slowly improved since. Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Wilcox got back this week from a trip to California. Cali-fornia. They went by way of San Francisco, and coming back, they swung down into the park section of Southern Utah. During the early fall and winter months Mir. and Mrs. Claude W. ! Adams will reside here. Mrs. Adams i was formerly Miss Cecil Tebbs, a popular young lady of Panguitch, who taught in the Milford school the past two years. Mr. and Mrs. Parrish, parents of Dr. Parrish, motored here Tuesday from Salt Lake City and are guests of Dr. and Mrs. C. R. Parrish. J. W. Hampton, brother of Mrs. S. C. Ruschmeier, stopped here en-route en-route to his home in Indiana after having visited his daughter in California. Cali-fornia. Mrs. Dan Hutchings is visiting in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs- C. C. McDermond of Salt Lake, were here for several days this week. , Al Joest and sons, Billie and Roper, returned from Salt Lake ' Thursday. i Mrs. Vivian Berry has accepted .a position at the J. C. Penney Co. Mrs. W. J.' White went to Salt Lake Tuesday. Mr- and Mrs. R. R. Kanert have returned to Milford to reside. 'Rudy' Kanert is employed by the railroad. W. 0. Cluff and L. R. Fournier, of the Telluride Power company, were in Milford this week. M. Nelson, G. A. Hokanson and R. A. Campbell, of Salt Lake, were doing do-ing business here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Osborne of Salt Lake were in Milford this past week. Mrs. Fanny S. Gradle, of Santa Barbara, Cal., was here on business connected with the mines the past few days. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. W. Butler, of Cedar City, have been visiting here recently. Enoch Burton, well known in Milford, Mil-ford, was here on Sunday, last. R. C. Murdock of Beaver, gave Milford a call Saturday. R. H. Pitchforth was in Milford last Monday. Wm. H. Gordon of Cedar City, was here this week looking into his jewelry business. Mrs. H. D. Rowberry came in from Crest Line Wednesday for medical aid. Mr. and MrsJ. H. Hatton, of Os-dick, Os-dick, California, came to Milford this week to visit with their two daugh-, daugh-, ters, Mrs. H. W. Peterson and Mrs. L. A. Robinson. Mr. and Mrs- Hatton moved from Milford about three years ago. Mrs. Harry Coon and children of ' Compton, California, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy White. I ! S. F. Hunt, mining geologist, employed em-ployed by Lorin Morrison in survey work, is in Milford looking after the "Green Monster," a new mining property now inactive. Mrs:. John Pearson, who has spent the past three months visiting in Salt Lake, has returned to Milford- Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Heslington spent Sunday at Beaver, with Mrs. Heslington's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hutchings. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nowers of Beaver, Beav-er, were in Milford Thursday. Mrs. Nowers was the guest of Mrs. Otto Schwob, during the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Nowers were accompanied on their return to Beaver by Lew Bohn, of Los Angeles, who will make an extended stay in Beaver visiting relatives. |
