Show 'FRESHMEN AT UTAH-; v.-'.. REGISTER TliURSDAY:: Registration of freshmen students at the University of Utah will take place Thursday,- September 27, and former students will register Monday, Mon-day, October 1, according to announcements announce-ments in the new general catalogue of the University which is just off the press and is now ready for distribu-' tion. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29, will be given over to special instruction periods for the new students. stu-dents. These will include special lecture lec-ture an discussions related to classroom class-room and campus life and the organization or-ganization of classes. All freshmen will be required to attend. Regular classi-oom instruction will begin Tuesday, October 2. All students stu-dents not completing their registration registra-tion before that date will be charged a late registration fee of fifty cents per day. The Autumn Quarter ' will . end Saturday, December 22. High school graduates who are entering en-tering the University for the first time should send a copy of their j high school credits to the Recorder's office at least one month prior to registration. Convenient blanks will be sent upon request. Those entering as freshmen who have not talfen the English placement examination will be required to do so before register ing. Last year 1181 freshmen, the largest larg-est number in the history of the institution, in-stitution, entered the University. It is estimated that this fall term enrollment enroll-ment of first year students will be even larger. New classes, more faculty members, and other facilities have been provided for the large number of students expected. University News Bureau. |
