I'nderhill. died at Lamar, Colo., on June 11, at the advanced age of eighty-one years. - o Miss Orena Law left for Beaver Sunday morning where she will spend about a mouth visiting friends and relatives. . o Little Miss Jetta Dobson gave a birthday party last week to her young friends, with games, ice cream and cake. o The Delta Shoe Shop is fully equipped with modern machinery. Mrs. Bassett entertained the Jolly Stitchers at her home June 2. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Keeler; Mrs. lies and Mrs. Keel-er Keel-er entertaining. o Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Sievert motored to Salt Lake last week, from where they will go by rail to Chicago and along in July return to resume their work in Delta. --o We noticed in the Salt Lake Tribune Trib-une that Mrs. J. Harvey Pocock of Tccele, but who is well kuown in Wuodrow, had the misfortune to lose a son in the Pueblo disaster. . o Freddie West of Ely drove into Delta with a Ford engine, an Olds-mobile Olds-mobile radiator, a Maxwell body, solid wheels and a conglomeration of all parts thrown together; but the buss can hit the road like a hornet. o Miss Catherine Peterson entertained enter-tained hor little friends at a lawn party Friday afternoon. The little tots were beautiful in pink and white, and had a perfectly wonderful time with the delicious refreshments. o The editor saw the big blaze of the oil tank at Salt Lake City when the Utah Oil Co. suffered a $350,000 loss. After fourteen hours, burning flames were then (the next morning) morn-ing) shooting up, sometimes as high as 200 feet. Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Porter and Mr. Geo. Rice left Monday morning to accompany ac-company Mrs. Porter's mother, Mrs. Lillie J. Rice, back to Twin Falls, Idaho. Mrs. Porter will remain away about a month; Mr. Porter will return re-turn earlier. o The Myster Girls took a surprise party to -the home of Mrs. Helen Tozer last Wednesday evening and held their club meeting. The evening even-ing was spent in r. -v .. g. A delicious supper was served, covers being laid for Mrs. Helen Tozer, Lena Faust, Lottie Alier, Eva Jensen, Orena Law, Dysie Law, Vida Anderson and Athena Athe-na Beckwith. v. - o P. H. Robison, Will Starley and Frank Beckwith logged the road from Delta to Eureka and back, , Tuesday; the distance is 5 0 miles, ' and the roads good. The distance - was covered from Delta. to Eureka and back in seven hours, with time out talking en route', and a lunch.
