Show McCORNTCK MITES Everybody is very busy here, tho you may think, fiom our silence, that we are not in the land of the living. Even the stork is busy; he brot a fine girl to Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Brinker-hoff Brinker-hoff May 16, and a boy to Mr. and Mrs. John Bennett on June 4. Mrs. Bennett is in Scipio with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Olson. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Malouf have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of their infant son, which was born and buried on May 17. This was the first burial in our cemetery. cem-etery. Mrs. Neal Malouf is ill at present with inflammation of the liver. Dr. Clark of Fillmore was called to attend at-tend her Sunday evening. On May 30th all the men and boys who could leave their work put in the day railing, plowing, leveling and fencing our cemetery. At noon the ladies of the Relief Society served a lunch of sandwiches, cake and ice cream. Mr. . and Mrs. A. O. Gledhill are visiting in Richfield for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Christensen and little nephew Evan spent a few days in Sanpete county with relatives. rela-tives. The first summer half holiday was observed here Saturday; only a few, however, were out. In the evening a free dance was given. It is planned to have games and amusements regularly reg-ularly for -the children on certain days. Oke Salisbury's two young daughters, daugh-ters, of Richfield, are here for a couple cou-ple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lysle Waters of Richfield Rich-field are visiting Mrs. Oke Salisbury. They are looking over the country with a view of buying here. Miss Tressa Love is home again, after spending the winter at Nephi, attending school. |
