Show Scipio Sallies Thomas Memmott, a pioueer of Scipio, died on Friday morning, morn-ing, at his home here, after a lingering illness. He was a native na-tive of England and was in his , 79th year. Funeral services were held Sunday at 11:30, a. m., and were largely attended. Speakers were Bishop Stevenson, of Holden, Pres. Brunson, of , Fillmore, Mr. Roper, of Oak City, Wm. Black, of Deseret, O. L. Thompson and W. I. Hatch, of Scipio. Mr. Memmott is survived sur-vived by his widow and seven grown sons, one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Weldon, and a large number num-ber of grandchildren and great grandchildren, also two brothers and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Miller, Mill-er, of Scipio. Mr. Memmott was ' a very prominent worker in the Mormon church for a great many years. Floral tributes were many. Interment was in the city cemetery. -Mr. and Mrs. Al I vie have moved to Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter, of -Holden came over to attend the : funeral of Mr. Memmott. -' - - Noble Peterson and W. R. ' Thompson went to Ogden as delegates del-egates to the Republican Coiv vention.
