Mr. Samuel Dority Sr. has been home for the past ten days from East Deseret, where he has been working. He left again last Saturday and he expects to be gone a year. 1 i- One of our early pioneers, Mr. Noah Avery, took a stroke Tuesday night, January Dth, and passed away Thursday Thurs-day night. January 11. Funeral services serv-ices were held Tuesday, January 16. Speakers were Hrothers Samuel Dor-rity Dor-rity Sr. and George Crane. Mr. James Abraham bad an accident of falling out of a tree, where he was trimming the limbs. Results were of a sprained wrist. The new officers and teachers In our Mutual are as follows: Mrs. Catherine Paxton, president; Mrs. Florence Christetisen. first counselor; Miss MlancliH Kogers, second counselor; Miss Jennie Harney, secretary; Mrs. Alice Watts, teacher, and Miss Elizabeth Eliza-beth Tomson, assistant of senior class; Mrs. AUada Day. teacher and Mrs. Louise Hunter, assistant of Junior class. We hope these officers and teachers will have great success. Miss I'riscllla (leorge is wearing a bright smile on her face, her young man having arrived. We had a dance Friday night, January Janu-ary 19th, In which everybody enjoyed themselves very much, but they will enjoy themselves more when we get our new dance hall. The proceeds of the dance went to Mr. Frank Christetisen, who has gone to Salt Lake City to take a course In athletics. Mr. and Mrs. Ingram have come down from Lincoln, Idaho, to visit their daughter. Mrs. William Greotier. Our home dramatic troup will put on a play entitled, "Captain Racket," next Friday night, January 26. |
