Show South Tract Review Robt. Whicker pulled into the South Tract school yard on the 30th, to put down a flowing well. This will be a great convenience and will do away with the children chil-dren having to tote water half a mile for drinking. We can now run a ditch around the yard and plant some shade trees and flowers. flow-ers. Charles Hardin, who went to Los Angeles for an operation for appendicitis, has returned, looking look-ing much improved, and having gained fourteen lbs. in weight. On examination his doctor found that he did not have appendicitis and treated him for other internal inter-nal troubles and Charlie is feeling feel-ing much encouraged and much better. In looking over two carloads of hogs shipped from Delta on Saturday,- the 30th, -we found the best bunch delivered on that day was by the Nelson Bro's of the South Tract. We are glad to know of E. A. Brush's election by the Water Users' Ass'n as aid to Mr. Welch in his work arnoung the farmers. This brings it closer home to us, A shower, given at the home of N. H. Folson, for Henry Botts and bride was well attended and a very pleasant evening was spent. Quite a lot of useful presents were given and were much appreciated by the bride and groom. The South Tract nimrods had to sot up a dance for the Delta boys as a penalty for not being good rabbit hunters. Ten free tickets were given by the loos-ers loos-ers as per agreement, but thirteen thir-teen individuals applied for free tickets and declared they hunted on that day and was entitled to a free dance. Come on now Delta, honest, how many men did it take to bring in that 312 pair of ears, we wondered why Jones -r" i ley's and H. E. Becks. Mr. Beck found it and took it to his home, so if the little girl will : call there she can get it. was afraid to come to" the dance. A very much enjoyed pie social and program was given by the teachers and pupils of the South Tract school on the evening even-ing of the 28th. We were fortunate fortun-ate enough to get little Beatrice Smith's pie and it was a delicious one made from a big fat pumpkin. pump-kin. We are very sorry to lose our friend and neighbor William Hon" from among us. We can't afford to spare such men from our neighborhood. We are the losers. Mrs. C. A. Hive is talking seriousU' of making a visit to her girlhood home in Etna Green, Indiana. We hope she won't forget to come back.
