Show Mrs. C. O. Davis, and son William, Wil-liam, have returned from their visit at Ogden and we are now staying at home nights. Any appointments we may have coming com-ing up are hereby canceled. Robt. Jenkins, accompanied by R. L. Whicker, went to Salt Lake the last of last week and filed on the Struen Robertson homestead recently relinquished by him. H. G. Smurthwaite representing represent-ing the Smurthwaite Grain and Milling Co., of Salt Lake City, is in this vicinity looking after seed and grain purchases for his Company. Mr. Smurthwaite has traveled this country for 30 years buying grain. Jelmer Writer, of Salt Lake, brother-in-law of J. W. Thurs ton, who had a piece of land out on the South Tract, was here this week looking after his place and visiting with Mr. Thurston and family. JVlr. Writer is in the employ of the O. S. L. and has charge of the structural iron work for that company. Mrs. Chas Winebrenner, who was taken to the hospital in Salt Lake the first of last week, was operated upon for and relieved of a large number of gall stones last Saturday morning. Mr. Winebrenner went up to the City Friday night to be with her. Last reports are to the effect that Mrs, Winebrenner was recovering re-covering nicely.
