Thursday night a party of our young folks made a flying trip to Leamington, to attend a dance. All had a good time. Mr. Lee Walker, who has spent the summer at Sutherland, spent a visit here with his folks and friends last week. Mr. Walter Carlson, left Monday Mon-day to work on the Mc Ranch at Leamington. One big time of the season was pulled off Thursday the 26th. All the young folks went out to the sinks and had a good soaking. After the swim supper was served serv-ed on the sand, by the Bee-Hive Bee-Hive girls. . Every body had a good time. Mr. Robert Wiley, and Leo Carlson, are busy putting up Mr. Leo Lyman's hay, down at Delta. Henry Carlson, who has been out on Taylor's flat the past two weeks harvesting grain, reports a good crop on that project. Oak City Base Ball team made a flying trip to Sutherland last Saturday, to play a double header, head-er, one with Abraham and the other with Sutherland, but the games were both lost by Oak City. A number of rooters went to cheer up our team to win but were unable th do it. Friday the Scouts and the Stiffs had a game of Base Ball for a dance. The game was very interesting and ended In favor of the Scouts, the score being 10 to 16. But the Stiffs's are sporty old fellows and challenged chal-lenged the Scouts for another game to be played next week. Mr. Jas. A. Lyman, has been unable to be around for a few days, on account of his legs bothering him. A number of our people; attended at-tended Priest hood conference at Hinckley Saturday. The Oak City Threshing Machine Ma-chine Co. will start work Monday Mon-day Aug. 30th and expert a long-run long-run as nearly every body in town have grain. Mr. O. H. Jacobson, who has been over in Sanpete visiting-folks visiting-folks and friends the past month, has returned home. He enjoyed the trip fine and had an enjoyable enjoya-ble time. Mr. F. Olson, of Leamington, is here helping his brother, Mr. L. Olson, plaster. They have at present nearly finished the plastering plas-tering on Mr. Jos. Finlinson's and Leo. Finlinson's new buildings. |
