Show line refuses to make any traffic agreement which might interfere with the interchange of traffic with the Salt Lake Route, of whose stock the Union Pacific owns 40 per cent. The Orem interests also have about concluded the sale of a bond issue of $400,(100, which it is proposed to use in the construction con-struction of the line from Spanish Span-ish Fork to Payson just as soon as the line now building from Springville to Spanish 'Fork is completed. The new section of road will cost about $50,000 a mile and it is expected to be completed early in the spring. There is a report that the road intends to issue $2,000,000 more in bonds to extend the line south of Payson into the rich agricultural territory in Iron county and perhaps to Washington Washing-ton county and tap the Dixie country.
