Show Oasis Offerings. Oda J. Day is having quite an improvmenle maile in his store. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Payne of Fillmore were Oasis visitors, last week. Deseret and Oasis have joined in the athletic sports, their name being the A. C. Nelson Club. Mr. and Mr. Betz have returned return-ed from a monlh's visit with relatives in the east. We welcome wel-come them home. The Oasis Dramatic Co. played 'The Merry Cobbler, "-Tuesday evening, to a well filled house at the Oasis Relief Hall. A new baby arrived at the home of James Ide, the first of last week. Their daughter, Alta and her husband being the happy hap-py recipients. Mrs. Annie Rutherford made a trip to Fillmore, last week, to obtain medical treatment from Dr. Stevens. She returned much improved. Wm, Batty is erecting a nice dwelling just west of the A. C. School. We hope Mr. Batty will still join us, if he does move intc the Deseret district. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hawley returned last Saturday morning from a trip to the World's Fair. They report having had a very enjoyable time. They also visited visit-ed Oid Mexico on their po-journ. J. D. Black of Deseret loaded another car of alfalfa seed for an Ogden firm, to be shipped from this point today. This makes about 40 car loads shipped from this station, most being raised at Oasis, Deseret, Hinckley and Abraham, also some from the cast side of the county. The Salt Lake Transfer Co. has just completed moving the C. W. ot M. building from the corner east, next to 0. J. Day's on main street. It was quite an undertaking, but the building was moved in very good condition condi-tion owing to the way it was throw.; together. The bank directors met today to determine what was to be clone with it, and a iso to discuss the erection of a new bank building to go on the s ath corner, east of the depot. |
