Show Holden Happenings. Lagrip seems to be the most fashionable disease in our midst. Forester Bert Robins was here this week issuing grazing applications. appli-cations. Misses Erma Turner andNettie Hunter, who have employment in the Hinckley District school, have returned home. They were unable' to hold school on account of so many children having contagious con-tagious diseases. Mr. Heber Johnson purchased the Relief Society hall for his son, Fred, and moved it onto his lot, but unfortunately it. was badly twisted in moving it and when they got it where it was to remain one end fell out making it almost worthless. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Ashby celebrated their Golden Wedding at their home, Thursday, Jan. 14th, fifty of their children and grandchildren were present. A sumptuous supper was served, after which games were played and a pleasing program was rendered. Later in the evening cider and a wedding cake were served. The honored couple regretted re-gretted very much that four of their sons, Rodney, Robert Har-don Har-don and Nathaniel and families could not be present at the celebration. cele-bration. Brother and sister Ash-by Ash-by boast of a family of ninety-six ninety-six children and grandchildren, six of whom are dead. For many years brother Ashby was Supt. of the Holden Ward Sabbath School and his wife was President Presi-dent of the Relief Society. We hope to have them with us for many years yet. |
