Show Oak City Offerings. (Jos. H. Christenson, Rep.) Ray Finlinson spent last week in Leamington. A. Johnson of Leamington was here last week after saw dust. Gerry Hansen of Mills, was here on business, one day last week. C. W. Rawlinson is again making mak-ing his regular trips to Oasis with cream. Earnest Ottley made a trip to Delta last week, to visit relatives and friends. E. Q. Dutson is unable to be out on account of Lagrip. Others are complaining of bad colds. LeRoy Webb, who has been in Hinckley for some time, came up here to see how his home was coming. We have enough snow on the ground at last for sleigh riding. Both young and old are enjoying themselves to the fullest extent. August Neilson, one of our new county commissioners, passed pass-ed through here, Saturday, on his way to the county seat to attend at-tend bussiness matters. Parley Elder and Co. were unable un-able to continue their work in the mountains on account of the snow, but will resume their work as soon as conditions will permit. The basket ball games which have been on schedule for the past two years between the stiffs and school boys for championship is still going. The last game that was played left the stiffs victorious, victor-ious, the score being 29 to 33. W. R. Walker was seen in our town again last week with a big smile on his face, never before had he looked so happy. When the details were learned, Mr. Stork had left a big baby boy at his home. He reports mother and babydoing nicely. The Laurels had an ice cream party, last Friday, in the Relief hall. Games and songs were the entertaining features. An election was also had for a new president and counselor. Ray Finlinson was elected president in Stanley Lc veil's place and Sylvia Lovell as first counselor in Maggie Rawlinsoh's place, the other officers remain the same. |
