Show NEWSY NOTES AB0UTTOLKS Billie Kilpack came in from Manti, Mondav, for an indefinite visit with his manv friends here. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. etz of Oasis, have returned from their holiday vacation with relatives in the far east. Miss Eleanor Prout arrived Sundav, to spend the week with her father, H. B. Prout of the Delta Land & Water Co. T. L. Johns is relieving Marion Kilpack as the tonsorial artist in Delta, while Marion is scratching an aggravating attack of the chicken-pox. Leonard Rroadrick returned Saturday from Salt Lake City, where he had been detained for four weeks, under going an operation for appendicitis. Miss Helen Aller entertained the Ozo Club in a most charming manner Monday evening. The entertainment consisted of reading, read-ing, sewing, games and a delicious delic-ious light luncheon. Dr. H. A. Abbott was attending attend-ing to professional matters in Salt Lake City, from Friday night till Monday. Dr. Abbott is enjoying en-joying a satisfactory practice since locating among us. According to the last school census made in Millard county, taken last summer, there are 2,517 children of school age. It is interesting to note that this part of the county, called West Millard, has 397 more children of school age than East Millard, therefore the westside districts receive $1,698.26 more of the state school funds than does the eastside. "Dot, the Miner's Daughter," played bf the Delta Ward choir at the Ward hall Tuesday evening, even-ing, was favored with a large and attentive audience. The play was a good one, each individual indi-vidual taking part doing well. The specialties between acts were unusually amusing and any time the Ward Choir sees fit to put on another play they will draw a good crowd. |
