Show NOTICE OF SPECIAL STOCKHOLDERS' STOCKHOLD-ERS' MEETING. Notice Is hereby give that upon the 1st day of February. 1913, there will be a special stockholders' meeting of the stockholders of the Deserct Irrigation Irri-gation Company, a corporation of the Siate or Utah, to be held at Its office In the Town of Deserct, Millard County, Utah, at ten o'clock (u the forenoon of said day, the object and purpose of which will be to consider the question of amending the Articles of Incorporation of said company 111 the following particulars: 1. To amend Article HI so as to give the corporation the following additional ad-ditional powers. (a) To reclaim water-logged and nrid lands under wh&i Is known as the "Carey Act", an act of Congress approved ap-proved August 16, 1894, and the acts amendatory thereto. lb) To locate, appropriate, purchase pur-chase and acquire and hold water and water rights of every description for sale, rental and distribution, to Irrigate and reclaim lands under the Carey Act ami for general irrigation, culinary, power, and all other purposes, and to own, buy and sell same. rl To buy, hold, lease and acquire reservoir and dam sites, and to construct con-struct and maintain reservoirs, dams, weirs, headgatea, waste ways and drains thereon, and to do any and all other acts and things necessary nec-essary for the purpose of reclaiming arid lands generally, and for the acquirement ac-quirement and development of water rights and power for all other useful purposes. Id) To locate, lease, buy, sell and acquire sites for pumping plants or stations, and for wells of all description, descrip-tion, and to erect pumping plants and sink wells. j (e) To buy, sell, own, hold and vote shares of stock In other corporations If) To conduct a general brokerage and commission business for the sale of real and personal property, stocks and bonds; to act as agent for the purchase and sale of real estate and personal property. (g) To acquire, own, hold, operate and dispose of power plants for the generation of power by electricity or water power. (h) To acquire, raise, own, hold and sell live stock, Including poultry. 2. To amend Article X so as to provide pro-vide that the annual meeting jhall be held on the last Monday In January, Instead of the last Saturday in January. Jan-uary. 3. To amend Article I so as to permit per-mit the holding of stockholders' meetings meet-ings at such place in Millard County as the Hoard of Directors may designate. desig-nate.
