Show IRRIGATION IN MILLARD James A. Melville Tells About Some of the Projects When James A. Melville goes Into the city he generally gives out something some-thing encouraging about his borne county. Last Sunday's Herald-Republican has the following: "That active construction work on the Irrigation projects In Millard County, along the line of the San Pedro, Los Angeles Salt Lake, which has been practically at a standstill stand-still for the last year, will be commenced com-menced soon after the first of the year, is the declaration of James A. Melville, who was largely Instrumental Instrumen-tal In starting these projects, and who has just returned from that district with some eastern parties who have been eiatr.injng the operations. "While work on the projects had to e stopped early this year," said Mr. Melville yesterday, "because of financial difficulties, negotiations for the financing of the undertakings are now practically completed. Active construction work will start soon after the first of the year." Mr. Melville gave It as his opinion v i that the coming season would see thousands of acres of land along the Ajt Lake Route, in both Millard and er counties, sold to colonists. |
