Kelso has been confined to his bed with a severe siege of inflamatory rheumatism and ckicken-pox. A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Steele, Saturday night, Jan. 30th. Mother and child are reported well. Owing to disagreeable weather the dance to have been held at the Ward hall last Friday evening even-ing was postponed for one week. Miss Amy Wilkins left Tuesday Tues-day for Cedar City, where she will remain for three weeks, visiting vis-iting friends and renewing acquaintances. ac-quaintances. Frank Kock arrived Monday to look after his farming interests out on the north tract and visit former neighbors. Mr. Kock is now living near Morrowville, Ks. H. E. Maxfield went to Fillmore Fill-more Tuesday to meet with the other- members of the county board at their regular monthly meeting. Mrs. Nebeker and two daughters daught-ers of Panguitch, are here visiting visit-ing relatives the Steeles and Bunkers, and are thinking of taking tak-ing up their permanent residence among us. Messrs. Hickman, Reed, Cary and other Abraham men interested interest-ed in the affairs of the Abraham Irrigation Co., were in attendance attend-ance at the annual election of officers in Salt Lake. Alex Melville went to Fillmore, Wednesday, having several sev-eral cases that are to come to trial at this term of the district court, which convened yesterday. There are only two criminal cases docketed for trial at this term that of Barney Trainer for horse stealing and a Kanosh man on an adultery charge. All hats off to Charles Winebrenner; Wine-brenner; he demonstrated that he was the most public spirited man in Delta Monday, by taking a i shovel and clearing the mud and slush off the sidewalk crossings around the town. In most towns this task is the outlined duty of the city marshal, but Delta is a town different, in this respect. County Surveyor elect, John Thurston, was attending to mat-; mat-; ters of an official nature at Fill-, Fill-, more, Tuesday.
