Show Attend Services For Victor Schurtz I Mr. and Mrs. Frelene Schurtz were in Riohi'ield Sunday and Monday, Mon-day, to attend the luneral services held there for their brother, Victor ; Schurtz. The services were held in t the Warner Mortuary in Richfield I 011 Monday at i p. in,, and burial J was in the cemetery at Richfield, j Services were also held in Pocatel-I Pocatel-I lo on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 3 p. in., by D. W. Martin, bishop, in the L. L. S. chapel. Mr. and Mrs M. H. Workman, Mi . alio i. us. now eti ijCu vi l l, a no Merlin Workman, were also in Kichliold on Sunday, to spend the day with the widow of Mr. Schurtz, who is a niece of Mrs. Workman, and their daughters. Mr. Schurtz tost his life in an accident, ac-cident, while out hunting on Tuesday, Tues-day, Nov. 19, at the American Falls resen oir, Idaho. He and his family had made their home in Pocatello for the past five years, and before that made their home in Delta for some years. A further report of the accident stated that Mr. Schurtz was one of a party of three hunters, hunt-ers, one on an island, putting out decoys, and Mr. Schurtz and another an-other out further, and wading to set out decoys. Apparently the companion fell into a hole, and called for help. Mr. Schurtz tried to get to him, but al-I al-I so went under, and both men lost i their lives. They were dressed in ! very heavy hunting clothes, and also wearing wading boots, and the water was extremely cold. The third man was unable to get off the small island, and was there a-bout a-bout four hours before help came. |
