Show Wedding Rites Held For Young Couple Miss Betty Nash, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Allman, of Provo, and Gilbert Day, were married at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Emma Day, of Oasis, Saturday Satur-day evening, Nov. 16 at 8 p. m. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Clark H. Bishop, in the presence of the immediate families. fami-lies. The bride was lovely in a forest for-est green suit. She wore a beautiful beauti-ful orchid corsage, while Mrs. Day wore gardenias. The room was decorated dec-orated in yellow and white fall flowers. A delicious lunch was served to those present. The young couple are making their home in Delta. Mrs. Fiances Tolbert, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mitchell and Dale Tolbert, Tol-bert, made a trip to Baker last week, called there by the illness of Mrs. Tolbert's daughter, Mrs. Hesselgcsser. Mrs. Tolbert remained remain-ed there for a longer visit, and the others returned to Delta, with Dean Mitchell, who had been working work-ing in Spring Valley. Mrs. Lucile Stephenson made a trin to Provo Sunday, returning Monday night. Mrs. Spencer Wright made a trip to Salt Lake City this week, visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Damron, and also on a buying trip. Mrs. Cecil Baker returned to Delta Del-ta Tuesday from a trip in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Marcus L. Fuchs visited in Delta last week with her sister, Mrs. Frank Foote, on her return to her home in Idaho after a visit of several weeks in Oaklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Graff visited in Delta on Saturday with friends and relatives. They returned to their home in Salt Lake City after a visit in southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney B. Ashby left Delta last Wednesday to return re-turn to their home in Manti, after a visit of a few days in Delta with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashby and in Lynndyl with Mr. and Mrs. Cleed Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Ashby had just returned from a visit of six weeks in Pheonix, Arizona, with Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby, and they had helped with the picking and packing of Oraan's date crop. Mr. and Mrs. George Miles, and son, Lowell, and Mrs. George Ros-kelly, Ros-kelly, from Smithfield, Utah, visited visit-ed in Delta last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Corbett, Mrs. Miles and Mrs. Roskelly are sisters of Mr. Corbett. Mr. and Mrs. M. Ward Moody, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Payne, and Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper, drove to Ephraim on Tuesday, to attend a seminary convention held that evening. |
