Show DESERET 31rs. Lucile Sampson Mrs. Norma Hansen and children and Mrs. Stella Carting and children, child-ren, spent Sunday, in Fillmore, visiting. vis-iting. The Deseret Rook Club met Wednesday Wed-nesday night, at the home of Ar-prilla Ar-prilla Scow. A lovely lunch was served and one high rook was played. Those present were: Arpril-la Arpril-la Scow, Lucile Sampson, Luella Western, Erma Dean Croft, Evelyn Cropper, Stella Carling, Lillian Pippin, Pip-pin, and Carole Warnick. High scores were held by Carole War-nick, War-nick, Lucile Sampson and Stella Carling. Melvin Warner, who has been in the U. S. army and stationed in Panama, returned home last Saturday. Sat-urday. He has been overseas one year. Mr. and Mrs. John Baker and daughter, Dorothy, returned home Saturday, after a two weeks visit in Salt Lake City. A chicken supper and party was held Saturday night, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Fava Rigby, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pippin. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cropper, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gaven, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sampson, Mr. and Mrs. Fava Rigby, Noel Black and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pippin. Pip-pin. The Deseret Primary held a Thanksgiving Banquet, Tuesday afternoon, for all the children in Primary. Gordon Dewsnup acted as toastmaster. A very nice program was enjoyed as well as the lovely dinner. Saturday the Deacons went on a hunting party with Ray Western and Ormus Dutson, and got some ducks. Mrs. Margaret Webb and children, child-ren, returned home, after spending spend-ing the past week in Salt Lake and Holden. Layton Dewsnup made a trip to Salt Lake City this past week. |
