The letter arrived May 31. Monday they received an official telegram from the War Department Depart-ment to the same effect. Ward said he was in perfect Health and that he was in France. He said he would be home in a-bout a-bout three weeks, but that he wanted to tour England before coming home, as he probably would not get another chance. The family was thrilled to get the word as they hadn't had any word from him since last November. Novem-ber. Ward was shot down over Germany Ger-many last summer on one of the bombing raids. |
