These flights have been operating since March 4 to gather operating and traffic data to support Challenger Airlines' applications now before the Civil Aeronautics Board. That purpose has been realized to our satisfaction. We are convinced there is a definite need for a "feeder" airline air-line linking the communities of our Intermountain region to each other and to the vast national airlines network. Challenger Airlines will continue its efforts to obtain approval to operate these proposed routes. As soon as this approval is received. Challenger's service will be restored on the same high operating standard you have enjoyed for the past eight months. However, at this time further operation of Challenger flights might permanently jeopardize our position as an applicant in the eyes of the Civil Aeronautics Board. The full approval and sanction of C A B is required for a continuation con-tinuation of this service, and we are certain you share our decision that any action which might impair our position before the Board would be of serious consequence conse-quence to you and to us. When the Board sees fit to grant Challenger Airlines' applications for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity, we will be able to carry Passengers, Air Mail, Air Express and Air Freight and provide a more complete com-plete public service. Challenger Airlines will then resume operations on an expanded basis with larger aircraft and better, more complete daily schedules. We sincerely appreciate your past support and patronage, patron-age, and look forward to the early opportunity of again serving the public in the Intermountain region.
