Show American Legion Hold Dinner on November 1 1 A hundred guests were served at the annual American Legion Armistice Ar-mistice Day dinner on Monday evening, ev-ening, Nov. 11, held in the Hot Lunch Room at the high school. Howard Kirk, of the Four Roses cafe cooked the steaks, which was the main item of the ample dinner din-ner served. Patriotic emblems were used to decorate the tables, and Benn E. Robinson acted as toastmaster for the dinner, calling upon veterans there from World Wars I and II. Community singing was also indulged in-dulged in, with a number of old favorites. And Ray Church sang a solo during the course of the dinner. |
