Show Booklets Ready To Aid Proposed Builders in Plans Millard county residents interested inter-ested in building or remodeling homes or improving the appearance appear-ance of their home grounds., will be interested in two new publications publica-tions of the Utah State extension service, according to George Whornham, county, agent. The bulletins, "Planning and Developing De-veloping Home Grounds," and "Basic "Ba-sic Ideas for Rural Homes," were prepared by specialists of the extension ex-tension service. Mrs. Effie Barrows home furnishing specialist, is the author of the bulletin which presents pre-sents suggestions for rural homes. The publication is well illustrated throughout, and includes a number numb-er of suggestive floor plans, as well as a discussion of the part each room of the house should serve. Laval S. Morris and Rachael B. Morris, extension landscape architects, archi-tects, are co-authors of the Home Grounds Bulletin. This publication contains 52 illustrations and stresses stres-ses the importance of planning the home and grounds at the same time. Among the most important factors fac-tors of home planning, according to the authors are good arragne-ments arragne-ments between indoor living room and outdoor living area, proximity of indoor and outdoor service, consideration con-sideration of sunshine in kitchen and living room, and views from the living room. The authors maintain that when home properties proper-ties are well planned they have a much better chance to be beautiful beauti-ful and convenient. These bulletins will be furnished upon request form the county a-gent's a-gent's office or from the Utah state agricultural college extension service, ser-vice, Logan, Utah. |
