Show Utah to Observe 50th Anniversary Oi Statehood M'. I'tah TO HEAR PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Statewide observation of Utah's "Golden Anniversary." will mark Friday. January 4th. at Salt Lake I City. Special events are program-I program-I med for the day, culminating in a public meeting at eight o'clock p. ! m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Throughout Utah, schools and colleges col-leges will observe the day with patriotic programs. A message to Utahns from President Pres-ident Harry S. Truman will be given giv-en at the Tabernacle by Utah's Senator Abe Murdock. At the Conclusion of the program pro-gram the six surviving signers of the Utah Constitution, J. W. Kerr, Mons Peterson, Elmer E. Corfman, Noble Warvum, Sr., Charles N. Stre-vell Stre-vell and Louis Coray, along with Charles Richards, surviving secretary secre-tary of the Utah territory, will be presented with appropriate gifts as tokens of appreciation from the State of Utah. January 4th marks the 50th anniversary an-niversary of the State of Utah. The Delta High School is having a program pro-gram and they invite everyone to attend. It will be held at 11:15 a. m. |
