Show NORTH TRACT Hello Folks, Another week and the ground still frozen so the farmers can't work the land. Mrs. M J. Moody has the Spring fever no, not an Easter bonnet but eight thousand turkeys, soon to come. Bob and Marjorie both telephoned tele-phoned their mother the last few days . . . Bob from New York, where he was in port and Marjorie from California on her birthday. Kirt Shields said his wife was away on a visit to Logandale, Nevada. Ne-vada. Mr. Shields' sister, Mrs. Boyle and Mr. Boyle from Park City are visiting here with the Shields. Elderly Mrs Thomas, the mother moth-er of Mrs. Nettie Perkins, passed away in Overlon, Nevada the other day. Sherman Perkins went down to the funeral. Mrs. Nettie Perkins has made her home with her mother for the last two or three years helping to care for the old lady. Well, we're going to lose another couple of our old settlers Mr. and Mrs. Evans. They are moving to Oakland, California next Tuesday. They will have an auction sale with all the fixings. John Henderson Hender-son is the auctioneer (and is he good). Lunch will be served. On Wednesday evening at the Morrison home, the J. S. C. will hold a party for the Evans' Pot-luck Pot-luck and you are requested to bring your knife and fork and plate and cup with a chair or two and card tables. Mrs. Lafe Morrison is shopping in Salt Lake during a couple of days of the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gray and family fam-ily from Fort Shaw, Montana are here visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Gray was Bessie Adamson and Jack is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Gray, long time residents of Sutherland. Miss Betty Lee returned home from a three-weeks' visit to Montana. Mon-tana. She returned with Mr. and' Mrs. Gray. They report much better bet-ter weather in Montana than we are having here Mrs. Mable Kenney and little granddaughter "Johnny Lee" have come for an indefinite visit with Mrs! Kenney's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith. Mr. Smith is still frail in health although slightly improved. Mrs. Kenney also will visit with her daughter, Mrs. Vernon Ver-non Fowles and family. She cares for the little grandchild while her daughter Florence works. Florence lost her husband last year in an airplane crash. He being in the A. A. Service Mrs. Kenneys three sons Bud, Leslie and Bert are all in the U. S. Navy. Bud was recently married. mar-ried. Dave Richardson is back with us and says his wife is improving in health and the twins coming along fine. Working wives Well, we hear that Cora Turner and Rube are working in Tooele. Mr. Stansworth has been called into service and Nellie is there with her parents for the present. So she keeps the home fires burning while the rest work. So our little Eva has gone and done it. I mean Eva Erickson's getting get-ting married. Wish her lots of happiness. hap-piness. Mrs. Heise looks fine after her winter visit in Magna Mr. Heise also is improved by the change. We sincerely express our sympathy sym-pathy for the Bunkers in their lose of Ray. And also to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner for the death of their infant twin Elaine, the other baby seem to be getting along O. K. They are ni the Delta hospital. Ada Moulton joined the "White Key" fraternity at the B. Y. The Sugarville ward Relief Society So-ciety held a pot luck supper followed fol-lowed by a program and dance on Friday March 17. Special honor was given to the former Bishopric and the former R. S. officers. They were each presented with a gift with expressions of appreciation for their many years of service Mr. and Mrs. Booth are Salt Lake City visitors this week. Will Walker went with a carload of cattle to the market in California Califor-nia this week. I met a woman on the street and asked "What's News?"
