Show West Millard First District In Utah to Go Over the Top Mrs. Helen Baker, chairwoman of the Red Cross War Fund drive for West Millard received the following letter let-ter from Red Cross headquarters in San Francisco: Mrs. Helen Baker, War Fund Chairwoman, W. Millard Chapter, American Red Cross, Delta, Utah. Dear Mrs. Baker: Your postal stating that West Millard chapter has exceeded ex-ceeded its quota of $3700 brought great rejoicing in this office. Our warm congratulations! The effectiveness of . your leadership and the fine cooperation given by your chairmen and workers are to be heartily commended. West Millard chapter is the eleventh in the entire Pacific Area and the first in Utah to go over the top. The brief time involved shows not only excellent organization but whole-hearted response of the residents in your chapter territory. Mr. Simons joins me in grateful acknowledgement of the time, thought, and effort you and your associates have given in helping to meet the vastly increased needs of the American Red Cross. Your report of $3900 well over your assigned quota is splendid. As you. know, the. demands upon Red Cross services this year are unpredictable. The sum sought is the minimum for known services. We hope that Chapter organizations will not cease to function until everyone has been given an opportunity to contribute. We are trying try-ing this year, as never before, for complete coverage.
