Show t OF PERSONAL INTEREST . . . Mrs. Leonard Broderick went to Eureka Friday to visit the Relief Society at their annual celebration. Mrs. Broderick was president of the Relief Society when she lived in Eureka. Mrs. Lydia Stewart went to Salt Lake City Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Knight. Mr. Knight is going to undergo an operation within a short time. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Whicker, son Richard and Mrs. Ethel Conklin, from San Francisco, will visit in Delta for two weeks prior to Ellis' induction into the army. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wilkins drove to Delta Sunday bringing Mrs. Willoughhy home from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Willoughby has been in Salt Lake since just before Christmas. A testimonial meeting was held in the Third Ward this week for Lindeau Christensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Christensen. Mrs. Edward Stevens, Mrs. Alma Stevens and Mrs. Annie Johnson, all from Holden, visited in Delta with Mrs. Cecil Baker Monday. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Lyman returned re-turned this week from a trip east visiting their son who is in service. serv-ice. They also visited relatives on the way. Mrs. Almeda Lewis returned this week from Las Vegas where she has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Blaine Johnson. Mrs. Geneal Rose Bennett is visiting vis-iting in Delta with her brother, Ar-vin Ar-vin Rose, who has been sick for some time. Mrs. Alton Miller and daughter, Mrs. Betty Payne and Mrs. Nellie Watson spent Sunday in Fillmore with Mrs. Kate Hatton, who is 94 years old. Mrs. Hatton is an aunt of Mrs. Watson. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Johnson, of Holden, spent Tuesday visiting in Delta with their son, Evan. |
