Show Deferment Status Clarified Selective Service Regulations state that all persons working under un-der occupational deferments must be employed full time in support of the War Effort, whether on farms or elsewhere. Since many persons on farm deferment have finished their farm work for the season, and since there exists a great labor shortage in other industries, in-dustries, Selective Service Boards, in connection with the United States Employment Service, are arranging schedules whereby men who are available for short-time employment may move from Agriculture Agri-culture to other industries for the winter months, and be assured that their classification will not be changed during the winter work period. To facilitate this program Mr. Claude Edwards of the U.S.E.S. will be at the Armory Building, Fillmore, Fill-more, at 9:30 A.M. on Nov. 13, and at the Southern Hotel, Delta, at 2:00 P. M. on the same day. He will interview all men interested, and to those who wish to take advantage ad-vantage of this opportunity will issue Certificate of Availability. |
