Show SCHEME FOR PULLING MACHINE OUT OF MUD Unique Plan Employed to Get Automobile Out of Hole. While riding one day with a neighbor neigh-bor in his car we were unfortunate enough to run into a mud hole. A rope wus then tied to each stake, close to the ground, run under the hub and tied to a spoke, as the cut shows. My friend started his engine, threw It Into reverse, and the engine easily backed Itself out of of the mud hole.
