Show Ibapah BY BETTY CALLOWAY Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Hibbard left last week for Springfiedl, Ore., to spent the winter with their son, Milton and family. Lester Weaver is spending the winter in Magna, Utah, with his sister, Mrs. Evelyn Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Johnson returned re-turned home last night after spend ing a week in Tooele and Clover, visiting relatives. Mrs. DeVerl Nicholes and daughter, daugh-ter, Cathy, were visiting Mrs. Nicholes' Ni-choles' parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Lee recently. A. E. Kelly, Rao Bateman, Jay Hicks, Ernest McMurdy and Merlin Johnson met with the Tooele county coun-ty school board last Monday night to see if a school could be started in Ibapah after Christmas. They were successful and so we will have a school starting in January. Mrs. Blanche West, son Bill, of Ibapah, and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Sheldon, of Callao, recently spent a few days in Boise, Idaho, visiting Mrs. West's daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Marker. Mrs. F. F. Snively and son, Francis, Fran-cis, spent a few days in Salt Lake last week Christmas shopping. Mrs. Ernest McMurdy and two small daughters left a few days ago for Idaho Falls to visit with Mrs. McMurdy's sister and bring her son, Charlie, home for Christmas. Christ-mas. He has been attending school in Idaho Falls. Mrs. Jay Hicks was home over the weekend. She is living in Wend over this winter, sending their daughter, Joy, to school. Mrs. W. H. Parrish entertained her 500 club at her home Saturday. Satur-day. She served a delicious luncheon lunch-eon at 1 p.m. Mrs. Jay Hicks won first prize at oards, and Mrs. Joyce Cook Bookie and Mrs. Lois Weaver cut. Mrs. Fred Boyd returned home a few days ago after spending a couple of months in California. Mrs. Audrey Cook is in Carlin, Nevada, visiting with her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Littledike. ' Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Parrish left this morning for Salt Lake for some last minute shopping and to pick up Mrs. Parrish's sister, Mrs. Nina Herron, so she can pend the holiday in Ibapah with them and her sister, Mrs. Blanche West. Miss Danene Probert from Salt Lake recently spent a few days visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Dan Probert. |
