Show BY MARY JOHNSON Miss Velda Sheriff was home from Salt Lake City over the week end. Mrs. Pete Banks is home from the Nephi hospital with her new baby boy. Bishop Earl Greathouse, Phili Nielson, and Lee Shiply made a business trip to Salt Lake last week. Mrs. Lucille Overson visited her daughter, Arlene, and" new baby in Salt Lake, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Johnson and George have been on vacation in California for the past two weeks. They were Salt Lake visitors Sat. Word was received here of the death of Hughs Roundy, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Glade Roundy, former for-mer residents of here, now in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hogan and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shiply attended at-tended the funeral in Salt Lake Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Alma D. Hays visited visit-ed Mr. and Mrs. Roundy on Sunday Sun-day at their home in the City. Mr. Ila Overson has returned home after a week in Provo where she stayed with Mrs. " Clair Over-son, Over-son, who's litle son is suffering from Polio! Mr. and Mrs. Frances McMullin and family, of Salt Lake drove down Sunday and brought Frank Johnson 'for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson and family. Mr. and Mrs. McMullin returned to: their -home Sunday evening while Mr. Johnson left Tuesday for Cedar City. Reese Finlinson recently returned return-ed from Japan was the speaker at the fireside chat Sunday evening even-ing after church. He showed a number of slides of his travels, which was very interesting. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Trotter of Biggs California, stopped on their way to Kansas City, to get their daughter, Mrs. Howard Nielson and little daughter, Judy Who joined them for the trip. They will visit Mrs. Trotters aged father, and other relatives. Miss Dean Overson came home Saturday. Monday she entered the the Juab County Hospital, where she will under go surgery, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Banks and family drove down from Salt Lake for an over night stay with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen. Mrs. Joe Pargis is happy to have her sister Mrs. Maude McQuire from Iowa here for a visit. Mr. iand Mrs. Lloyd Wilkinson and two sons visited here Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks. Lloyd lived here years ago, but now resides in Payson. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen were in Provo shopping Saturday. Mr. iand Mrs. Roy Nielson are in Salt Lake with their daughter, Col- j leen who is benig married on Wed., to Bob Fouler of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Phill Nielson were Provo visitors last Wednesday. , Passes Bar Examinations Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson received re-ceived word that their son-in-law Leslie S. Haycock had successi-fully. successi-fully. passed the Bar Examination and will be duly sworn in as a member of the Bar on Jan. 12. Leslie graduaded from the Delta , High School and later married Don na Nielson. They with their two little daughters reside in Salt Lake. |
