Show Sunshine duh Is Entertained The Sunshine Club, Delta First ward widows organization, we're entertained Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Sepha Robison for their Christinas party. Dinner was served at 1 o'clock, with roast turkey and dressing as the main dish and many other dishes. Seventeen widows and three guests were at the table gay with Christmas decorations. Later Dr. M. E. Bird and Leigh Maxfield, from the ward bishopric, called and were served dinner. During the afternoon a program was given, with songs by Thelma Black and Barbara Welton, from Delta High School, and a reading by Mrs. Blanche Works, who gave a summary of the year's club activities, act-ivities, which included making quilts, giving programs .at sacrament sacra-ment meeting, and sponsoring a party for widows. Election of officers for the coming com-ing year was held with Mrs. Sepha Robison as president, Mrs. Luella Nickle, vice president, Mrs. Veva Dekker, secretary. They succeed Blanche Works, pres., Mrs. Nickle vice pres., ajid Mrs. Nora Knight, secretary. At the close of the afternoon Santa Claus made an appearance with a gift for each of those present. pre-sent. Sunshine club members present pre-sent were Nora Knight, Laura Johnson, Jane Black, Grace War-nick, War-nick, Blanche Works, Mina Steele, Carie Black, Amanda Conk, Ada-line Ada-line Jeffery, Lynn Warnick, Mary Peterson, Delia Lisonbee, Lida Taylor, Veva Dekker, Alice Blackburn, Black-burn, Luella Nickle and Sepha Robison. Guests were Agnes Black, Annie Leavitt and Jo Pratt. Committee for the party were Sepha Robison, Luella Nickle, Lynn Warnick and Veva Dekker. |
