Show Leamington MRS. MABEL HARDER On the occasion of her eighty-fourth eighty-fourth birthday, Mrs. Emma Niel-son' Niel-son' was the recipient of several surprises. The Relief Society called uxi her as a group and spent the afternoon. Her daughters, Barta and Arvilla were down from Salt Lake City. In the evening Mrs. Nielson, Barta and Arvilla, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Nielson and Virginia Vir-ginia were guests at Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nielson's for a turkey dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson called call-ed during the evening to bring birthday greetings to their mother.' Miss Virginia Nielson, a flight nurse . with the Army Air Corps, flew home to spend a few days with her parents. During her short visit they drove down to Leamington Leam-ington to visit relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Colthorpe of Salt Lake City are the proud parents of an eight pound eleven ounce boy born May 3 in Salt Lake City. " Mr. M. C. Dutson, with his daugh ter, Knea, spent Friday in Leamington Leam-ington greeting his many friends. Mr. Dutson is much improved and hopes to soon master an artificial leg so that he can walk. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson, Mr. mad Mrs. Jay Quornberg and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hansen visited with Mr. Dutson and other relatives In Scip-io Scip-io last week. On the occasion of her birthday Mrs. John Evans had as dinner guests the following relatives: Collier Col-lier and Ren Lovell of Oak City, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stephenson of Delta, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lovell and Mrs. Margaret Ritchie of Leamington. In the evening all of the Evans family came home to wish happy birthday to their moth er: Mr. and Mrs. Buss Shields of Delta, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Martin Mar-tin of Genola, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Whiting of Mapleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Evans of Spanish Span-ish Fork, and George 'Evans of Leamington. - Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Nielson and Mrs. Wells Nielson have spent the past two weeks visiting relatives rela-tives in California. Mrs. Gordon Nielson has been seriously ill in the Juab County hospital In Nephi since last Thursday. Thurs-day. At this writing she was much improved. Primary conference scheduled for May 4 will be held this Sunday, May 11. Too many of the younger children were home with measles to hold it as planned. Mr. and Mrs. Darnae Nielson and baby have been spending their vacation va-cation from the railroad helping on the farm. Mr. Al Harder has been in Garrison, Gar-rison, Utah, the past two weeks building several homes. He drives home over the weekends. The Leamington section crew along with others in the area spent many hours at Juab last week trying try-ing the prevent flood waters .from taking out the U. P. tracks. At one time they had worked 24 hours without a break. |
