Show Is Painfully Injured In Fall Mrs. L. F. Gordon was painfully injured Sunday morning when she fell from the back porch landing at their apartment home in Delta. She had been downstairs to call Mr. Gordon to breakfast and at the top of the landing paused to shake a rug. The bannister of the porch broke off and she pitched headfirst to the ground about six to eight feet below. The spot where she fell has been used for a coal pile, and in addition to the force of the fall, she was badly cut by pieces of coal. Her glasses were broken and possibly cut her also. She received a cut that extended extend-ed from her right eye up into her hair, and down to her left eye. The large flap of skin torn .loose exposed a section of skullbone, and there was profuse bleeding. Medical attention was called at once and on account of a bad ieart condition Mrs. Gordon is being be-ing treated for, no anesthetic was used. After care here, Mr. Gordon transported her Sunday evening to Salt Lake City, where she is now in the - Holy Cross hospital. Her condition Tuesday was reported, re-ported, "as good as could' be expected." |
