Show Deseret MRS. ARPRILLA SCOW Mrs. Lucile Sampson entertained entertain-ed the Delta Rook Club at her home on Thursday evening. A lovely love-ly lunch was served to Bessie, Webb, Donna Sagers, Vad.i Van, Lorayne Van, Madge Hales, Marie Lake, Mabel Black, Melvola Russell. Rus-sell. High score was won by Lor-anyne Lor-anyne Van, second by Mabel Black and low by Marie Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Cropper and son, Vincent spent the week end at Salt Lake City to visit with Lincoln's mother, who is in the LDS hospital. Mrs. Doyle Mace and children are spending a few days at Roosevelt Roose-velt visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wilcken. Anna Lou Dewsnup, 'from Provo spent Saturday and Sunday at Deseret Des-eret with her father, J. Harmon Dewsnup. Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Cropper and daughter spent Friday at Spanish Fork. Preparation meeting for the Deseret Des-eret Primary offlceds and teachers was held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Lucile Sampson. Plans for conference were discussed. dis-cussed. The lesson on the Priesthood Priest-hood was given, by Arlean Bennett. Those present were President Mabel Theobald Bessie Webb, Gene Allred, LuAnna Jensen, Vivian Ek-Ins, Ek-Ins, Beverly Eliason, Josephine Ca-hoon, Ca-hoon, Arlean Bennett and Lucile Sampson. A delicious light lunch was served by Lucile Sampson iand Josephine Cahoon. Mrs. Vilate Maxfield left Thursday Thurs-day afternoon for Los Angeles, California, where she will- spend the next two weeks visiting with her daughter, Virginia Hyatt and family. Mrs. Vernell Humphries and daughter dau-ghter from Salt aLke City are spending this week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Welling Zundell from Ogden spent the week end visiting with their daughter, Nola Warner and family. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Dewsnup and Mrs. Zada Dewsnup spent Friday Fri-day at Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Conk and daughters have moved back to Deseret after having spent the winter months at Tooele. We welcome wel-come them back home. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cahoon and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Cahoon from Tooele were visitors at Deseret Deser-et over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Cuman Cropper spent Wednesday and Thursday at Salt Lake iCty visiting with Mrs. Ellen Cropper, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Leone Jackson of Salt Lake City were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Bennett on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Layton Dewsnup spent Saturday and Sunday at Salt Lake City where they visited a missionary companion oi their son, Richard, who is . serving a mission in England and they also visited with President Mathew of East Central Mission where their son, Stanley is serving in the mission field. Bishop O. L. Dutson was in Salt Lake City to attend April Conference. Confer-ence. The entertainment that was held at Deseret Wednesday, April 2 was enjoyed by a large crowd. A delicious supper was served from 6 to 8 after which a fine program was given and then a bazaar was held. Everyone enjoyed themselves. This was a Deseret Stake Benefit entertainment.
